Submitted by swirt on March 7, 2008 - 8:36pm.The Cobblestone Farm Winery is one of the newer wineries on the West side of the Cayuga Wine Trail. Onced housed in the farm's cobblestone house, it is now located in a more modern tasting room that has a lot going for it, but lacks cobblestones. The location of the winery is along Rt 89 in the town of Romulus. It is one of the northern most wineries on Cayuga Lake, second only to Motezuma Winery at the tip.

Dr. Konstantin Frank - Winery Review
Submitted by swirt on December 13, 2007 - 10:37pm.The winery of Dr. Konstantin Frank is considered by many to be the Grand Daddy of the wineries in the Finger Lakes. No it is not as old as the Pleasant Valley Wine Company, or as embattled as Bully Hill, nor was it the first to gain major international recognition (like Gold Seal was). It is however the work and determination of Dr.
Catharine Valley Winery - a pleasant end or start
Submitted by swirt on November 20, 2007 - 6:06pm.Catharine Valley Winery is the Southern most winery on the East side of Seneca Lake. This location makes it a nice place to start or end if you are visiting the East side of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. This winery is on the small side which gives it a nice touch and puts it some good company with other small wineries on this side of the lake.

The vines that belong to Standing Stone are some of the oldest Vinifera (European) vines and rootstock in the area. The quality is easy to taste.
Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars - Hello Dry
Submitted by swirt on October 27, 2007 - 10:50pm.French names on American wineries often sounds a bit like putting on airs. In some cases they may be, but in the case of Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars it has more to do with a nearby small hamlet on Seneca Lake that bears the same name, than any French lineage. Lamoreaux Landing, the wine cellar, is located on the Eastern side of Seneca Lake and is the first winery to the North on the very winery dense section of the wine trail known as the Banana Belt.
Sheldrake Point Winery on Cayuga Lake
Submitted by swirt on October 26, 2007 - 3:35pm.Sheldrake Point Winery is sometimes easy to miss as it is not directly on Route 89 the way most of the Cayuga Lake wineries are. However, if you like dry and semi-dry wines it is well worth the few mile drive off Rt 89. The winery sits down on County Road 153 in Ovid on the Western shoreline of Cayuga Lake and just being that close to the lake is worth the short drive down the hill.
