Cobblestone Farm Winery - Review
Submitted by swirt on March 7, 2008 - 8:36pm.The Cobblestone Farm Winery is one of the newer wineries on the West side of the Cayuga Wine Trail. Onced housed in the farm's cobblestone house, it is now located in a more modern tasting room that has a lot going for it, but lacks cobblestones. The location of the winery is along Rt 89 in the town of Romulus. It is one of the northern most wineries on Cayuga Lake, second only to Motezuma Winery at the tip.
Sheldrake Point Winery on Cayuga Lake
Submitted by swirt on October 26, 2007 - 3:35pm.Sheldrake Point Winery is sometimes easy to miss as it is not directly on Route 89 the way most of the Cayuga Lake wineries are. However, if you like dry and semi-dry wines it is well worth the few mile drive off Rt 89. The winery sits down on County Road 153 in Ovid on the Western shoreline of Cayuga Lake and just being that close to the lake is worth the short drive down the hill.
Thirsty Owl Wine Company
Submitted by swirt on October 19, 2007 - 5:22pm.Sitting on a great location overlooking the shore of Cayuga Lake is a winery with a lot of history. The Thirsty Owl Wine Company itself is not very old, but it has access to some of the most mature grapevines in the region.
